The name of “Pettit” has been associated with swimming pools and hot tubs since the 1960’s, when Larry and Allyn Pettit moved from Long Island, NY, to Killington, VT. opening their first manufacturing facility and retail store in Rutland. Thousand’s of one piece, fiberglass pools were manufactured, sold, and installed by Pettit Pools throughout New England!

In the mid-1990’s, Pettit Pools expanded their horizons by adding Nordic Hot Tubs to their product offerings. Nordic, an American made product, are built with Northern climate conditions in mind, making them perfect for any backyard or ski slope in New England! 

Throughout the early 2000’s, Rick Pettit (Larry’s son) increased Pettit Pool’s service operation throughout many resort towns in Vermont, providing world-class service to countless hot tub owners. 

In 2014, Joshua and Jessica Terenzini (Larry’s grandson) began growing the retail operation of the Nordic Hot Tub product line, being an early believer in the power of social-media selling. Since 2014, Josh has helped countless customers make their dreams come true by owning an affordable hot tub! Our unique business model of “we come to you,” has proven to fit the needs of so many customers who are looking for a low pressure, consultative experience.

In 2025, Pettit Hot Tubs partnered with Michael Lewis, of Mendon, VT, and welcomed him into the Pettit family as the first “Co-Owner” of the company. With Michael’s business acumen and vision, Pettit’s is expanding its product offering to not just Nordic, but Marquis and M Spas.
